The College of New Jersey is once again proud to offer the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). This is an ILLNESS and ACCIDENT plan with PRESCRIPTION ($300 per year max), MENTAL HEALTH and WELLNESS benefits. The Plan is administered by Bollinger Insurance Solutions and is unique to The College of New Jersey. It was designed specifically to meet the general health care needs of TCNJ students. The cost is $150.00 per semester. The policy periods are August 15, 2011 – January 15, 2012 and January 15, 2012 – August 15, 2012, thus providing year-round coverage for students students enrolled in the plan for the Fall and Spring semesters.
Enrollment in the Student Health Insurance Plan is MANDATORY for students who are registered full-time (undergraduate: = or > 3 units/semester; graduate: = or > 9 c.h./semester). Only students with health insurance that will be maintained during the upcoming semester can OPT-OUT of SHIP by submitting an electronic Waiver Form during established waiver periods prior to EACH semester. Students who do not submit a Waiver Form during the waiver period will be enrolled in the plan until the end of the policy period and responsible for payment of the premium.
