Full-time TCNJ students have an opportunity to provide proof of health insurance coverage prior to the start of the Fall semester. The submitted waiver will waive the health insurance coverage and charge for the ENTIRE academic year. There will be no need to submit a separate waiver for the Spring semester unless you are a new admit to the College.
To submit a waiver, please complete the following steps no later than August 28, 2012:
- Log into your PAWS account
- Under the Finance Tab, click on Health Insurance Waiver
- Complete all the required fields and check boxes
- Click Submit
By completing this waiver, students are confirmed and agreeing to having adequate health insurance coverage in accordance with the State of New Jersey requirements for a full-time college student.
The health insurance charge will be removed from your student account within 24 hours of accurate submission.
Students will need the following information to complete the Waiver Form:

Subscriber (who in your family has this policy – mom, dad, you?)

ID number on the policy

Telephone number for the health insurance company
WAIVER PERIOD ENDS AUGUST 28, 2012
AFTER THE WAIVER DEADLINE
Students who are registered full-time for the fall semester and who did NOT submit a Waiver Form during the Waiver Period will be enrolled in SHIP for the 2012-13 academic year and responsible for the $324.00 premium.
PART-TIME STUDENTS
Students registered part-time (less than 3 or more units: undergraduate students; or less than 9 or more credit hours: graduate students) are not required by N.J. State law to maintain health insurance and are therefore exempt from mandatory enrollment in the Student Health Insurance Plan. Part-time students will not be billed or enrolled in SHIP unless they enroll on their own. Part-time students interested in enrolling in SHIP can find the Enrollment Form at www.bollingerinsurance.com/tcnj . THE DEADLINE FOR ENROLLING IN SHIP IS SEPTEMBER 15, 2012.
INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE STUDENTS
International exchange students are not permitted to waive enrollment in the Student Health Insurance Plan.
